A circular walk through two tributary valleys of the River Tamar in a parish that was borrowed by Devon for 800 years, passing the remains of the wharf at the furthest reaches of the Bude Canal.

Highlights

  • Peaceful countryside in the Tamar Valley
  • Off the beaten track so good for wildlife
  • Remains of the furthest reaches of the Bude Canal

Considerations

  • The start of the path from direction 20 can get overgrown with nettles so take along a stick or pole to clear them. If you have secateurs, take these along to snip away any encroaching vegetation from the stiles.
