Review: Karrimor Mens Urban WeatherTite 10k Waterproof Jacket
The Karrimor Mens Urban WeatherTite 10k is a budget-friendly, mid-weight jacket that offers some nice design details for its price point. Featuring a small amount of lining, it is well-suited for the temperate Cornish climate, where layering with items like collarless fleece jumpers provides versatility across spring, autumn, and winter.
The jacket's WeatherTite technology provides effective wind and waterproofing, further protected by a velcro-down strip over the zip to block driving rain. It includes functional adjustments around the hood and a high-zipping neck to keep out the cold. Despite its "Urban" name, the jacket's design means it fairs quite well in the wild rural outdoors and for winter walking in Cornwall.
The outer surface definitely isn't as tough as the Result Core RS206X or my Regatta jacket, so that might possibly be the reason for the "urban" designation. I'll update the review after it's had a bit more wear and tear to see how it fares in the longer-term.
Practical features include standard side pockets plus two smaller zipped front pockets, one of which is accessible from outside the main zip. It's a convenient touch for rainy days.
Whilst the lightweight material perhaps risks tearing on sharp objects like barbed wire, its minimal branding and overall performance make it a decent choice for walking enthusiasts or clubs wanting to add their own branding.
